Life of Pi

Winner of 5 Olivier Awards, including 'Best New Play', Life of Pi is based on one of the most extraordinary and best-loved works of fiction – the smash hit adaptation of an epic journey of endurance and hope.

After a cargo ship sinks in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, there are five survivors stranded on a lifeboat - a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, a Royal Bengal tiger, and a sixteen year-old boy named Pi. Time is against them, nature is harsh, who will survive?

Long after the curtain falls, “Life of Pi will make you believe in the power of theatre” (The Times).

  • Very average

I am not sure if this performance was the B list cast, but it definitely felt a bit amateur and acting was not over whelming, Puppetry was good but again not blown away. Very expensive for what it was, and probably more for kids than adults, but an expensive treat for kids.

Unfortunately the show had been cancelled whilst I was en route to the performance so only found out at 2pm when turning up to the theatre. Poor.

My first visit to the Wyndham Theatre, the stage comes out at the front and has a minimal set to start with. But boy can it change. The show was brilliant as was all the cast and all the animals. I would recommend this and hopefully I can get back and watch it again
